The help pages of cTrader Copy carry warnings that a first-time reader can miss because they sit inside paragraphs about something else. This page gathers nine of them, read on 6 November 2026, and then counts the 20 public strategy cards by age and by where their short curves ended. It names no provider and ranks nothing.

Why the warnings matter to a beginner

The warnings describe the follower's account behaving differently from the provider's: another size, another price, another margin. Each warning is a place where a copy account can end somewhere else than the strategy's record. The table gives each in a line and the paragraphs after it go through the ones that need a second look.

Nine warnings the pages give

Each row is a sentence of the help pages in plain form. Sources: help.ctrader.com/ctrader-copy, help.ctrader.com/ctrader-copy/investing-in-strategies and help.ctrader.com/ctrader-copy/fees-calculation, read on 6 November 2026.

Lower leverageAn investor with lower leverage than the provider may lack the margin to copy every trade and may reach stop out earlier
Equity stop lossIt is not a guaranteed price; the final equity may be lower than the level set
Minimum investmentFunds cannot be withdrawn if that takes the equity below the strategy's minimum while copying
SharesTrades on symbols representing stocks and shares are not copied

The strategy listIt holds only strategies whose providers are currently trading

Money moving on the provider's side

The warning about the provider's deposits and withdrawals involves no trade at all, which is why it can be missed inside a paragraph about something else. The ratio of equities sets every copied size, so a change of the provider's balance changes your positions, and the page says that can cause losses when positions are open. The investor cannot see that coming on a card: the cards print returns and curves, not deposits.

Two cards on one price

The cards list the symbols their providers traded. Across the 20 cards 19 different symbols appear, and 15 of the 20 list gold. Two cards that both trade gold hold contracts on the same price, so copying both puts two positions on one price on one reader's side. That is a description of what copying two such cards means; the pages give no instruction about it.

How old the twenty cards are

The age is counted from the creation date printed on each card to 6 November 2026. Source: ctrader.com/copy/symbols (gold, bitcoin and euro pages), read on 6 November 2026.

Age of the strategyCards
Younger than 100 days4

A year or more8

What the ages show

The youngest card is 49 days old and the oldest 1,369; 12 of the 20 are under a year old. The printed returns run from -17% to 113,998%, and the pages do not say over what period a printed return is measured. A record can only be as long as the strategy is old.

Where the 29-day curves on the cards ended

Each card draws a curve of 29 daily points from 8 October 2026 to 5 November 2026, starting at 0. The table counts the last point of each curve, and the number of curves that fell by more than 10 points from an earlier high. Where the curve endedCards

Over 10 to 507
Above 503
Curves with a fall of more than 10 points inside the window4

What the curves show, and do not

5 of the 20 curves ended below zero and 15 above it; 4 fell by more than 10 points from an earlier high within the window. 2 cards print a negative return. The curve is 29 days and the return's period is not printed, so the two cannot be reconciled from the cards. The counts say where these twenty stood on the day, and this site draws nothing about any strategy from them.

What the strategy list leaves out

The help page says the strategy list includes only strategies whose providers are currently trading. A strategy whose provider has stopped is not on it, so a count of the cards cannot show how many strategies ended or what share of all strategies lost money. The front page counts strategies in the hundreds in its header; these twenty are the cards on three symbol pages, and the pages do not say how they were chosen.

Questions a beginner asks about copying

Which warning involves no trade at all?

The one about the provider's deposits and withdrawals, which sits inside the help page's section on deposits and withdrawals.

Do the cards show what the provider's deposits did to followers?

No. They print a return, an age, a minimum and a short curve.

Do the twenty cards stand for all strategies?

The pages do not say how they were chosen and the list holds only providers currently trading, so no claim is made.

Does an equity stop loss cap the loss?

No. The help page says it is not a guaranteed price.
